it all started when we noticed a problem
Whether we were on our corporate grind or as we were scaling startups, we realized business data is often siloed, incoherent, underutilized and unoptimized. But why? It’s because many marketers don’t know what to do with their data, or where to start with AI.
That’s why we’re obsessed with helping companies identify their data pain points, reduce friction and safely test solutions.
What makes us different from other shops out there? We developed the BITES framework that’s equal parts strategic problem solving, Agile principles and approachable AI, that, when combined, result in better business outcomes.
the BITES framework:
blueprint for innovation, testing
+ executing strategies
1: strategic problem solving
1. objective
what do you want to accomplish?
2. discover
and state core assumptions.
3. strategy development
what data do you want to collect?
4. execute
collect and clean data.
5. analyze
connect dots, reveal unknown connections.
6. outcome + iterate
get insights on how your business is operating and measure against the hypothesis.

When Derek isn’t pondering and theorizing the future of space travel, AI and machine learning, he’s helping businesses create and test strategies to help make their ideas a reality. He’ll claim he’s a “cool nerd” and try to offset his background in electrical engineering, computer science and data-driven innovation with a penchant for racing cars and listening to hip hop, but he’s a data nerd underneath it all.
From small, early-stage startups to large international companies, Derek has implemented agile strategies, gained voice of customer and rapidly grown concepts from ideation to profitable business units. That’s where Derek became addicted to process, data, and above all, Haribo gummy bears. He’s built and managed global teams in the automotive, semiconductor and software industries, but he’s most passionate about helping small and medium-sized businesses unlock their potential and experience asymmetrical growth.

Lauren is passionate. About marketing branding, storytelling, and most importantly, college basketball. What’s great about passion is that you can’t fake it. Luckily for nanochomp, Lauren loves helping businesses figure out who they are, who they should talk to and where they should be talking.
Over the last decade, Lauren has worked with large, international B2B, B2C and e-commerce brands to establish their identity and has spent her fair share on production sets overseeing multi-million dollar shoots. But she’s also worked with small budgets to develop equally (sometimes more) compelling integrated marketing campaigns and content for small and midsize teams, too. Because it’s not really about the budget for Lauren; what she loves most is working with creative teams and clients to figure out how to tell a brand’s story.
let’s get to work.
We love helping teams implement sound marketing and product strategies. Interested in learning more? You know the drill — enter your info and we’ll be in touch.
